A Descriptive History of Memory [3]
(for Michael Ward)
by
Mark Fleckenstein

From the ash of his last cigarette, a frozen glass world.

miles, wood, dirt. Others, as the dead should
be. Mute, x’d away. Thinking turned to worms.

Fooled light beckons rain, clouds in their unwashed overcoats.
