The Thin Thin Man
by
Dongqiao D. Li

thinks he is coming

to an end. No longer is

he hungry; it’s only his hunger

that he hungers for. No longer has
he desires; it’s only his desires

that he desires. No longer is
he in love; it’s only his love

that he loves.

His poor makes him rich.
He dreams about dreaming.

He takes the touch out of sex.
The thin thin man thinks

he is coming to an end. Sadly,
it’s only what he thinks

that is coming to an end.
