Break
the kadayıf into egg sized pieces and make into strips 8cm
wide and 20cm long. Place a walnut piece on each pastry and
wrap lengthways,then make into twists.Place on an oven tray
and press lightly with damp fingers to make flat. Pour over
100g of melted butter and cook in a moderate oven till brown.Immediately
pour over the syrup. When cool, decorate with pomegranate
and serve cold.
Preparation of the Syrup
Boil together 3
glasses of water and 3 glasses of sugar for 5 minutes. Add
juice of half a lemon and boil for one more minute.Leave to
cool.
